Process Metrix manufactures and supports STAR, an instrument that measures non volatile soot emissions (black carbon) from gas turbine and diesel engines in less than 5 seconds.  This measurement assures compliance with local particulate matter (PM) emissions levels.

STAR provides a real-time optical solution that can produce accurate and robust mass and sizing information, reducing the costs of gas turbine emissions testing.  STAR can be configured for in-situ measurements around the engine outlet or for sampling.
